Who We Are
Oh, Hi! We’re Meghan and Sarah, sisters by birth and sister-in-laws by marriage, which makes us last name buddies for life! Before we both married a pair of brothers and became the Chambless crew, we were proud Lally girls at heart. Together we make a dynamic duo: Meghan brings all the classic oldest-child traits while Sarah channels that unmistakable middle-child energy.
Our passion for home and design runs deep, shaped by the spaces we grew up in and the people who filled them. Raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, we were lucky to grow up in a home that always felt warm and inviting. Our mom had a natural eye for design and could make a room feel just right, and dad was a house painter and DIYer before moving into corporate life. They taught us the value of hands-on work, attention to detail, and creative problem solving. Sometimes we picked out colors, rearranged furniture, or helped with a painting project, making design always close by.
Some of our favorite memories were made during summers near Cape Cod, surrounded by our big extended family. The charm of the coast left a lasting impression, which developed a love for cozy spaces that feel timeless, lived-in, and full of heart.
Together we bring balance to every project through creativity, thoughtfulness, and heart. At Tailored Nest Designs, we believe home should be personal, functional, and filled with warmth. Whether you are starting from scratch or refreshing a well-loved space, we are here to help you create a home that tells your story and feels just right.
Meghan has a degree in art and an incredible eye for detail. She has dabbled in wedding planning, cake decorating, custom paintings, and fabric creations. Meghan loves to layer color (which she never shies away from!) and textures in a way that brings depth to every space. At home, she is a wife and mom to three kids and one mischievous goldendoodle. She likes to create spaces that feel joyful, functional, and full of personality. Her husband’s career in construction has lent itself to many projects and ideas coming to life in their home and for family and friends.
Sarah spent more than a decade as an elementary school teacher and found joy in making her classroom feel like a second home for students to thrive in. That same love of cozy intentional spaces carries into her own home with her husband, two toddlers, and two goofy Labrador retrievers. Her kitchen is the center of her home for everyone to congregate where she creates delicious meals, treats, and pampers her sourdough.
